I was caught off guard driving this morning around 9:40 when I dog came leaping out of Fairmount Park across Walnut Lane - right after the circle, but before the bridge - and immediately jumped into the other side of Fairmount Park. It looked like a basset hound and that it probably belonged to someone. I immediately pulled over my car and went searching for it. I heard it howling almost incessantly. I don't know if it was injured as there is a quite a drop from the point it ran into the woods. I tried calling for it and following the howls, but to no avail. Eventually the howls got too distant. I hope it finds its way home. If anyone is missing their pet, again I believe it was a basset hound or a mixture there of, feel free to contact me if you need any more details or help looking for him.
