Anybody else get beer at this place (Andorra Shopping Center)? Service was incredibly rude. I was picking up something for a party on tomorrow, trying to buy something most people there would drink. The cashier asks if he can help. I simply say I'm browsing, that I'm unsure what I'm going to buy.
The cashier goes, "Browsing, what are you a girl? Jeez." Needless to say, I took my money elsewhere, and told them just now over the phone they'd never get my business again. |

What is it your ****ing period!!
j/k, The Departed reference. Kindof a bad thing to say to a customer, but oh well. If that's your perogitive, like you said just quit going. Not for nothing but I'll keep going there whenever I need to. |

I've never had any real problems there. I'm usually in and out quickly.
Only thing to note is one time I called them to see if they had a particular kind of beer that is hard to find, they said that had it, but when I got there, they could find the brand, but not the particular product that I was looking for. The lady working there did try to help me find it quite a bit. |

The guy working there today though was a complete douchebag. Fortunately there are other distributors in the area. |

I'll go there if I want something quick but they don't have much of the better beer cold. If you want a great selection of beer make the trip out to King of Prussia and Kunda beverage. They have a never ending list of beers from all over the world and they will actually educate you on he different types of beer.

I wouldn't say that anyone has ever gone out of their way to be nice there - but I've never had a bad experience, either. They have some decent beers.
Speedy Beverage has a surprisingly good stash of beer - including Dogfish, Victory, Flying Fish and a number of imports (i.e. Guinness, Paulaner, Leffe). It's just a little rushed because of the drive through nature of the place but if you know what you want, you're in good shape. The place across from Cresheim Cottage on Germantown Ave has a really good selection, too (the name escapes me). |

I've never had problem with Doc's. I like their selection, and it's one of the few places I've found Abita beer here. I grew to love Abita when I lived in Louisiana, and I like the idea of supporting a local brew from just outside New Orleans post-Katrina. I don't buy beer often, in part because we're forced to buy cases here and I don't want or need that much beer sitting on the shelf, but when I do I usually buy Abita, so it's Doc's for me unless I find someplace closer that carries it -- I don't think Speedy's does.
