Default do you know of local street fests that feature music?

We are new to the area... implanted from Boston to Philly area this past fall and we want to try to get ourselves locked in as a "local favorite". One way we feel we can do that is to hit this summer's 'street festival circuit'.

Recommendations on what street fests to check out and any possible contact info you can give up would be SOOOO appreciated!

Please visit our website www.ernestgoodlife.com to learn more about us, our upcoming gigs, and listen to MP3s!

Manayunk Neighborhood Council presents music events in Pretzel Park every summer and are looking for local bands. Maybe we'll check you out at Grape Street.

I volunteer for the Clark Music and Arts Festival in Clark Park in Univeristy City. My neighbor is usually involved in selecting bands. PM me and I'll give you her email so you can get in the que to eventually play at one of the Clark Park Festivals.

It may not happen in the first year. We try to vary the types of bands and there is a definite preference for bands that actually live in the neighborhood.

Default Music in the city

You should also check out Rittenhouse Park in the summer (18th & walnut), there is music in the park every Wednesday night.

Houston Hall and the international House @ Penn often have good music, some are free and some you need to pay a cover.

The Kimmel Center has free jazz on Sunday mornings usually and a great bar for music here is Tritone at 16th and South.

Happy Listening..........
