Has anyone seen Dr. Andrea Pedano? If so, was the experience good or bad? How is parking around her office. . . . .generally difficult or easy to find spaces?????

My wife used to go to Heaney. Now she sees Michael Luciano at Pedano's office, and she likes him.

OxyJen,
I have been a patient with Hager (back when she was Hager/Weiss) for almost 10 years. Never had a problem.
First visit at the new place was a disaster. I hate the location but was willing to overlook it until...

Wait time was completely unacceptable (echoing girlfiend on this), attitude was horrendous, I could go on and on... One woman in front of me was asked to leave because they couldn't find her appt in the computer. Normally, I'd side with the schedulers on this but there was an issue with my appt, too (for labs). Just horrible. I called later to speak to the office about what happened - they didn't care (with the exception of one of the original staffers from Kute/Hager).
I have yet to hear one positive story about the new practice. In fact, one of my friends summed up her experience this way: "I felt like the riff raff from across the river."

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I went with one that was emailed to me - we'll see what happens!

Default More issues with Dr. Hager's new office

Can I second how horrible this office is? I went in on Tuesday with what turned out to be a bilateral ear infection. I was given a hard time scheduling the appointment. Now, I have been dizzy with no balance for TWO DAYS. I am naseous (sp), really tired, and feel like a truck ran over me. My hearing is going in and out, and my vision gets blurry from the dizziness and the headaches. I have been in and out of bed because of the dizziness for two straight days.

I keep calling to see if there is anything they can do. I keep being told by the medical geniuses who answer the phone that it is normal.

I get sinus and ear infections a lot. This is not normal.

I am finding a new doctor. ASAP.

He seems pretty nice. Since Dr Heany split, my grandmother has seen Luciano twice and Dr Pedano several times and they've been really nice.

Parking isn't nearly as bad right around as there as you might think. We haven't had an issue yet.

For myself, I used see Dr Newman at Drexel Family Practice and I miss him terribly. The other doctors are good and the front desk staff there is excellent, but Dr Newman was really goof and he made it a point to make sure you were getting the best care possible.

The pediatric thread has now reminded me that I need to call there and ask about transferring my 4 year old down there as well.

I am going to BASH KUTE/HAGER at their new office. I see KUTE and I am out of my prescription for a WEEK!!! And no one there has called my insurance company to confirm I need to take this MED, because it requires a PRE-AUTH. I am leaving the practice!!!! The meds I am taking are strong and you are not supposed to just quit taking them it could be dangerous... thank god for me I had a stash of samples from a year ago expired none theless to hold me over but I am so upset with KUTE and the whole practice!!!

Default Follow-up

I just wanted to follow-up by saying that I do think, as someone else suggested in another thread, that it is appropriate when you have a bad experience to contact the business and let them know. This is a good idea so that they can make amends/changes, or otherwise just be made aware that there was a problem.

That said, I did send a letter to each of Dr. Hager and Dr. Kute, letting them know what happened. To date, neither has offered the courtesy of a reply. I think that speaks volumes.

Default Seconding that

I actually filed a complaint with my insurance (I recommend everyone do that). Plus, I am sending a letter. I did talk to the woman who used to work in Hager/Kute's office. She gave me the practice manager's name and said to send a letter to her (message me and I will give it to you). The woman from the old office seemed a bit appalled at the situation and said that they needed to nip it in the bud. It is a shame how bad the practice has become.
