I am looking for a less expensive option. I have noticed a lot of talk about guy salons now I need help for a girl. I have called a lot of the places on Main Street and the going amount seems to be $60. I would LOVE to find a $30-$40 deal in the neighborhood. Any ideas?

It depends what you are looking for? THere is a salon on ridge and Roxborough Ave. L'Salon a hair cut is $25, cut and color is $60!

If you're just looking for a basic cut, Great Clips in IvyRidge Shopping Center will give you a decent cut for $11.

I am looking for a good hair cut, maybe not so basic. I have been seeking a good $30 hair cut in Philly for almost two years. The mention of the Salon on Ridge, has anyone gone there?

Try Mirage Salon on Ridge in Roxborough. I think a hair cut is only $30 or $35 and they always do a good job.

Damien's on Ridge Ave. across from WaWa's. They have a $30 wash, cut & style.

I personally think that if you have long-ish hair, and you take good care of it (decent shampoo, heat style with discretion, etc) that it's better to go to a good and possibly more expensive stylist every 3 months, than a questionable/possibly cheap stylist each month.

In your neighborhood, I think the folks at Glow are the best. See Carmen or Baritza (sp?) the Serbian dude.
