Uh, yes you did make that statment up, What post # did say "world's foremost authority"? I just read through all my post and can't see where I said that.

You condemn an entire country because a small village in France named an alley after Mumia. Genius. You obviously didn't learn in your college that the whole idea of democracy and liberty came from France.

Really? I learned in college that the idea of democracy came from Greece. You might want to get a refund from your college if you learned France was the birthplace of Democracy. and what is your idea of liberty? The Reign of Terror? The Napoleonic wars? The way they treated Vietnam in the name of "democracy"? The way they treat their minorities to the point the entire country was in a "state of emergency" for an entire summer? Were is France even cited as being the birthplace of liberty?

You'd rather yammer on about a criminal who will never see the light of day. Shouldn't you also hate America because NPR put him on the radio and "elitist" actors support him. I forgot, everything America does is ok, everything those smelly Europeans do is probably communist.

There go your assumptions about me again. I fully support freedom of speech, hence your argument here is void. Placing his name on a street corner is not "free speech" it is honoring him, something I do not agree with.

You brag about your college debate class and how you'd "rip the protesters a new a-hole", but you can't keep your arguments straight, can't follow your own line of reasoning and can't stick to one point.

Example?

You cite a French scientist, then criticize anything that comes from France. You say you have "problems with France", yet are defending a French industry that produces a French product by referring to French research.
Shouldn't you be referring to foie gras as "Freedom Liver"?

Good point, I admit I am a bit hypocritical there.
Actually, I am not defending Foie Gras, I don't even eat it, I am defending our right to eat what we wish. You know as much as I do that if Foie Gras is banned, Veal is next. Then what? Does PETA and Hugs for Puppies have a graph or chart of when they will stop their crusades against meat?
Using Europe for a moral argument doesn't work. That is why we are different than Europe. I could cite (sorry for the spelling earlier) a lot of policies from Europe that I would like to see implemented over there. Personally, I would like to see our country implement European drug laws, but I am not hammering on about how much "better" they are.
Foie Gras production is not a legal/criminal argument, its a moral one that comes down on each of us. If you find eating Foie Gras is wrong, then don't eat it. Why you find the need to FORCE your morals on others is where people like me come into play. Stay out of my life and I will stay out of yours, for some reason I find animal rights people have a problem with that.
And you still haven't replied to my point that almost all your arguments against Foie Gras could be improved with stronger regulations. I have seen the videos on You Tube and admit that some of the production is cruel, but a simple set of rules can fix almost all the issues. Why do are people always calling for bans on things that can be regulated whether it be meat, drugs, guns etc....??
P.S: Calling me a dope? Seriously? your amounting to name calling like a 6 year old or Howard Eskin on a public message board? Really?
