Are there any reputable shops in the area that do window tinting for cars and trucks? My back window has a pretty substantial "bubble" to it and I don't want to chance it on a mediocre shop. (If you screw up trying to tint a back window enough times, all that removing/reapplying of the tint can damage the defrost grid.)

Not really in the neighborhood, but Sunsational (I think that's the name) in Bridgeport/Norristown did a great job with my old GTI. I sold it to a friend a few years back - it still looks as good as new.
They're next to the ice cream place on 202 as you head into Bridgeport from Norristown. Before the 2nd bridge (which is closed for repair) on the right. |

TREK window tinting in Springfeild is the best. They did several of my cars over the years and I also had them come out and tint the windows in my house (UV Protection). They are affordable, a bit of a drive from here, but well worth it. They are very flexible with scheduling and did mine while I waited since I was coming from a half-hour away!

You can try Rapco or BOBOS at Gerantown and hunting Park they are really good. I go there all the time and they also match it up with the other windows (i have a Tahoe and the rear of the car has factory tint)
