I'm going to have to agree that the apples you all have mentioned are fine, indeed, but that the supreme king of all apples is the Honeycrisp. I believe they're availability is late summer into mid-fall. Expensive, yes. The most delicious apple I've ever eaten, by far. |

Thanks, lawmummy! I picked up cucumbers, fuji apples and nectarines there just recently and they were all great! And the Udon noodles were a yummy treat I usually can't get without going to Center City. They also have dry rice noodles and other "exotic" items we usually can't get up here in Roxborough. And, as always, the owners were helpful and asking for suggestions, so get in there and talk to them, folks! They want to give you what you need/want and that's special in this area, I think.

This is a nice addition to the neighborhood and the fruit and veggies I have picked up have been great.
Is the hand lettered sign by the front door still there? Last time I want in they were selling "romance" and I could not help but smile. Nice to think that romance can be had, even in work a day blue collar Roxborough! (English is such a tricky language even if you are born hearing it every day. I supect it was just ordinary romaine lettuce that was on sale.) |

My husband and I go there all the time, and if you buy $8 worth of stuff they give you a free small salad. Well the other night they forgot and then the next night they remembered him and they said, here is your free salad, we forgot to give it to you! Also, if they don't have something you want, they'll get it and have it the next time you're there. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!! They're great. ![]() |
