It's on Terrace Street.
Greatest beer selection in Roxborough/Manayunk. On tap and in the 'frig. A little uncertainty with the menu sometimes, but whatever the kitchen's putting out is really good. And did I mention the beer selection? ![]() |

A few years ago before I had a cell-phone I
had "car trouble" on that hill of Pechin Street, right up from the Salvation Army . I went into DeLeo's to get change for the pay-phone and the bartender said he wanted me to "buy something" so, I had a draft beer. The bartender looked like "FRAN" from Kookla, Fran and Ollie. He had two big teeth on the top row will little else around them. He asked me if i was a cop ! I said if I was a cop I would just call for the Captain and he would send me another car. I'm not a policeman I told the bartender. With that the bartender reached out and shook my hand. He told me my hands are too smooth to be a working amn.....and so it went. There were only about ten other customers in the bar, plus the bartender. I called the AAA and sat in my car. Just then a Fifth District Police car pulled my behind me and the female officer got out to help me. I told her I could not move the car. Now, car 515 pulled up....he was just patrolling by. I had the cables to give me a jump and we did. By now, the DeLeo's bartender was watching all of this from across the street with about four customers. The male officer left first then, as the female officer and I drove by the onlookers yelled FIVE-O , FIVE-0 . They had their excitment for the day ! |

I wonder what goes on in that bar, that they are so concerned with the where abouts of the police?
