I've actually had to complain to the store manager since he was harassing a woman ahead of me in line. His "sweetie" comments to her (after she politely told him not to call her that) along with others were ridiculously shallow and ignorant.

We use East Falls Pharmacy on Conrad Street. I even got my flu shot there while I was picking up medicine for my wife there last fall; I don't like supporting chains, even though I own stock in Rite-Aid.

My father-in-law is in the industry. He told me it was a great buy at $6 per share, so I bought some. Then he told me it was an even better buy at $3 per share, so I bought more. Now it is at around $2.40 per share, and I am still waiting for them to figure out how to run their business so I can make a profit on my investment. I do sometimes use the Rite-Aid on Midvale Avenue, but my preference is to use the Falls Pharmacy on Conrad Street.

Poorly run companies are cheap, and so are good investments (only if you hold it until they become well-run). Well-run companies make money, and can be good investments if they are not overpriced. I don't like the stockmarket because I believe that there is too much obfuscation and insider knowledge required.

Default On Midvale

The Rite Aid on Midvale is alright imo. Associates are pretty nice and the line usually moves quickly. Ruby is really nice, as are the security guards! Sometimes they are a bit under-stocked though. It's only a few mins farther than the one on Ridge so I'd just go there

I know what you mean about the one on Ridge. Everyone there is basically useless!

OK...I didn't want to jump to any conclusion, maybe, just maybe she had a bathroom emergency or something - right? Well, I can't even put into words how angry I was when I left the store and saw the cashier on her cell phone chit-chatting away, smoking a cigarette!
I go in at least once a week. I drop my son off at school and stop by for a water or snack while I wait for the bus to work. Anne Marie is usually the lady behind the counter and is usually super nice. The manager on the other hand is always brusque, especially when dealing with employees. The black guy just doesn't have a clue about customer service. Period.

I had to go to the hospital one night and had to get a prescription on my way home and it was like midnight. Noone was in the store, but it still took 45 minutes to fill a couple of pills. To top it all off, they put it under someone else's name. I will only use that pharmacy if I'm in dire need of something.

The girls at the Acme Pharmacy are freaking super, especially Jennifer. The nicest and most caring Pharmacist I've ever met.

I got completely wrong information from a "pharmacist" there about both a prescription interaction AND an OTC medication...these were for my 2 year old daughter! I thought they seemed a little out of it so I called the pediatrician to double check and the info they gave me, including the dosage instructions was wrong, wrong, wrong. Not even a *little* right. It wasn't life-threatening stuff but I would never risk getting meds from there...maybe a bottle of shampoo if I absolutely have to--
