Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I signed up for dodgeball with them, and apparently the season was supposed to start yesterday, but I have not heard from them regarding any info. I tried contacting them a few times, but to no avail.
Their Website: http://manayunk.usasportandsocial.com/ Also, is anyone here doing dodgeball? Or was there simply not enough interest? |

We played on their soccer league in the fall and the same thing happened - the league was supposed to start but for some reason was delayed several weeks. Also, they didn't respond to emails in a timely fashion and were shady about other stuff.
They ended up changing the day of the games and cancelling them without notice or late - it was a big pain in the butt. Check out the Philadelphia Sport & Social Club -- we're playing soccer on their spring league now and so far it's been great!! |

I highly recommend Philly Sport and Social Club. Been playing football with them about 12 years and the guy that runs the league now, Tim Horan, is very organized and good with communication even as the league has grown tremendously. No idea about their dodgeball league though.

I have experience with the Manayunk S+S league... same as others have said, they are tough to get a hold of, their communication is extremely poor, the website is gawd-awful and not up to date. That being said, it is fun to play in the leagues.. its kinda expensive though too

I played in Manayunk for 4 years and in PSSC for the last 3. Definitely check out PSSC. It's much more organized and the staff is much more helpful.
As for the difference in price, it is comparable because Manayunk makes you pay ref fees every game, whereas PSSC just charges everything up front. IMO, Manayunk Sport & Social is a marketing device for the Bayou. The quality of the sports product is secondary. |

This is Liam ,from the Manayunk Sport and Social Club, this to inform you the original post is a marketing scam for the Philly sport and social club. If you notice the first post was from a first timer. We are currently the leader of the sport and social organizations and we are based out of Manayunk, unlike the Philly league from Chicago. The MSSC started when the philly league went bankrupt and left town with everyone's money. Remember, the MSSC will always be here because of its strong ties to the community and to the Bayou. The PSSC is contanstly uses trash talk marketing because we are dominating the market place and our prices are one third the price of theirs. Our customer service is a thousand times better. I am the director and this is what I do full time. You can reach me at my personal cell 267-972-7665 or email at liam.wynne@usasportandsocial.com if you have any concerns.
Thank you and have a wonderful day, Liam Declan Wynne |
