Stimmler...hmmmm.. I dont know about him. He supposidly fixed this leak in my condo, but apparently the downstairs neighbor still has water coming in. And he charged me an extra 90 bux on what he originally told me, so dont think i will be using him again. |

Only had to use Szollose once (whew) but he seemed very good. Responded to the house same day. Rigged up a temporary fix, told me whatI could get away with and what I couldn't. Job was fixed very quickly and it wasn't an emergency.

I've used Andy's Plumbing a few times and also Andrew Gardner. Both were reasonable.
I used Andy's most recently, and the biggest problem I had was actually getting him on the phone. Once the guy got out to my house, he was great and efficient. They were flexible about scheduling appointments too. |

I have been happy with the service I have had from Struse plumbing as well. Ray has provided prompt service anytime I have called him, and I think he is a local guy. His number is 267-228-7287 if you decide to go with them. Good luck.

I used this thread in order to get some recommendations for a plumber to come in and repair a problem that we've been having. I called Philip Schafer yesterday and made an appointment for him to come in this morning.
He came, assessed the situation and told me what I needed (a new toilet) and how much it would cost. He was back in 20 minutes with a new toilet and was extremely helpful with regard to answering all the questions that I had for him. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in the area in need of a plumber. |

I used Phil Schafer in May of this year to replace a hot water heater and to repair a pipe in my basement. He does excellent work and is honest. More than anything, his price is fair and he is neat. I can't count the number of times I had to clean up behind contractors. To top it off, he is pleasant and responsive.
Some of the other plumbers (well known plumbing companies and smaller plumbers) wanted to charge excessive amounts and couldn't give a complete estimate. My comment was, “How long have water heaters been around. I’m certain this has to be a standard plumbing need for homes”. In one case the plumber was very unpleasant on the phone. Because of this person's unpleasantness, I contacted Phil and he understood my uneasiness and worked to ensure I was comfortable about everything. When I expressed my concern with payment via check or cash, he gladly provided references that I immediately contacted. All 3 references spoke highly of Phil's work, his honesty, and his expertise. To further ease my concerns, I checked out Philly Blog where I found feedback about Phil’s work. So, don't worry about the fact that he doesn't accept credit cards. He reminds me of the honest plumbers back during the time my Dad did plumbing work. I would highly recommend Phil and will call him whenever I need plumbing work completed. Phil…if you read this, feel free to use me as a reference in the future. I appreciate your professionalism and your patience, but most of all I appreciate your expertise at your trade. |

I agree. John will walk you through the process and give you the options. Very forthright and honest. Won't try to bullshiat you at all. I recommend him highly for both home and business.
