Ask anyone who takes their "kid(s)" to Clippendales and they will all say the same thing "Sue is the greatest and my dog loves going there!" its not just hype, its all true!
Zeke has all sorts of issues from being abused as a puppy (NOT by me, I got him from a foster home when he was a year old) and he doesnt like strange places, people or dogs but whenever he goes to Clippendales he actually pulls me TOWARD the door! He simply adores Sue and Donna and is always a good boy for them and comes home smelling great and exhausted from playing all day! Plus since he was a "rescue" his first visit was free! The people of East Falls are so lucky to have such a great asset coming to the neighborhood! D |

I live at Sherman Mills and I wake up each morning to barking and dog whining. It starts at 7 am and it's still going on now at 8:52 am.
Am I happy about Paws? Not. It was a foolish idea to put this business in this residential space. No matter how nice it is for the dogs it isn't very nice for the people who live here. |

Moving would be a good suggestion if you don't like it and are renting. |

The City has an animal noise ordinance. If there are dogs causing an unreasonable annoyance and you reside within 500 feet of them, you have a right to file a complaint.
http://www.phila.gov/philacode/html/...ting_nuis.html I've been to East Paws and it seems like an industrial area. I don't think I noticed any residences within 500 feet of the facility. I live next door to a school yard. In the morning and during recess those kids sure make a lot of noise. If I had a problem with that, then I shouldn't have bought a house next to a school. Sounds like the dogs aren't the ones whining. |

I moved here long before the dogs. I thought East Falls was a nice neighborhood. Your suggestions are all so kind and thoughtful and neighborly. It happened to be a very quiet place before the dogs. Friendly neighbors lots of interesting buildings. The trains don't make loud noises or wake me up they just pass by, I couldn't hear the construction from where I live. So your points are mute. Thank you for your neighborly thoughts. |

I am on the quiet side of the property... or I was until now. So I didn't move INTO this situation. I used to be a very happy resident. I did speak to management. I also spoke to Susan directly on an occasion. We were both polite and I told her my issues. She apologized for the noise. I'm not saying that the owners are bad people, to the contrary people on this list seem very positive about their experiences with the services they offer. My experience comes from a different place. I need to sleep after working a very long day. I moved here because it was quiet. I think that the location was poorly chosen and that the situation can only get worse as the population of dogs and new tenants grow. There are new apartments with decks under construction just a few yards away from me. |
