YIKES! This is getting scary, a bit too close for comfort.

According to Channel 6 news, she was making a delivery in W. Mt. Airy when she was shot then drove herself back to the restaurant in Roxborough.

alot of local food delivery places won't even go past ivy ridge to make a delivery. Its a shame for the delivery person.

That's a pretty good block, too.

Poor kid. I get takeout there all the time (I can walk there). I thought W. Mt. Airy was safer than that . . . of course, carjackings can happen anywhere. Good for her that she was able to get back to the store.

cripes. what rest. in Roxborough would send someone to Mt. Airy to deliver food?

i thought mt airy was okay -- but it said "west" mount airy. sometimes those nuances can make all the difference. but isn't "west" closer to Chestnut Hill? Or am I completely turned around?

either way -- it sucks that it happened so close to here. and to people just trying to make a decent living working their asses off in a greasy, stinky, hot restaurant.

West Mt Airy is the safest 'hood in Philly below Cottman Ave.

Mt. airy in either direction is too far for anyplace around here to deliver. It's tough even getting people to go to East Falls from Rox. let alone Mt. Airy.

West Mt. Airy starts right after the traffic circle on Walnut Lane...about 200 yards left of that.
