That's an oxymoron. LOL.

What ever happened to the BEST PIZZA in TOWN sign? Or do they not make pizza anymore?

As far as shopping and groceries go, most of the people I know who live in East Falls go to either Acme or ShopRite (both on Ridge Ave in Roxborough). You could also go to Whole Foods in Fairmount.

On a side note, I would avoid driving on Ridge through Roxborough anytime around rush hour or around the lunch hour. Trust me, you will be angry. It is very slow.

Other shopping alternatives are going over the bridge to Bala Cynwyd (Acme, Saks 5th Ave, Lord and Taylor) and other shopping along City Ave (the new Target is opening there later this year). I forgot to mention, there is a Rite Aid pharmacy on Midvale.


As far as places to eat, I'll chime in with everyone else - Johnny Manyana's (4201 Ridge) is great for Mexican. I love it. There are other bars/coffee shops/pizza places along the intersection of Ridge and Midvale that are definitely worth checking out. It seems like there is also a lot of development buzz and hopefully more stores/restaurants will be coming soon.
