Teen pregancy and tough white boys is not relegated to Roxborough only.

How long have you spent in Roxborough? I've owned my home here for 3 years now, and can't remember ever being sexually harassed. Even my college-aged male neighbors are respectful and clean up after themselves.

Default Tough Guise

thats great. I don't deny your experiences. But these are mine. The tough white boy thing is definately a huge part of Roxborough. I'd love to deny it too. Sure they are in other places too : fishtown, kensington, etc. But they are definately here and It makes me not want to live here.

Sexual harassment, pass any bar off in Roxborough, even mildly dressed up. Go to Wawa between Lamont and Delmar dressed for the office. Its here. It happens. And its really uncomfortable.

Every neighborhood outside CC, Chestnut Hill and WMA has groups of 'tough <insert color here> boys'

Default No Murders in Roxborough in 2007

Its definately a quality of life issue. While Center City may have more crime, I definately would rather be there than here in the Borough.
I don't think there have been any murders in Roxborough, Manayunk, or East Falls for years. Check out this link to the Inquirer's "Murder Map".

Anyone hear about the shooting of that poor delivery girl last week? What was that about? I've only heard co-workers ask me about it. It was in Roxborough early last week. Is she ok?

Actually, the shooting happened in West Mount Airy. The delivery person was from a Chinese restaurant in Roxborough.

The 14 girl that was shot was accompanying the delivery guy, and happened to be sitting in the car, when the shooting went down. I believe she is OK (i.e. the shooting was not fatal).
