Favorite thing about Roxborough/Manayunk? - Page 2 - PhillyBlog

I live on Henry Ave in Roxborough and I enjoy that I live close enough to the city without being right in (until I can eventually afford a nice section of CC). I've only been down to Main Street in Manayunk twice so far, but I've enjoyed it both times--good bars & good food. I also like being close to Fairmont Park. I think it's a convenient location here.

I definitely agree with this.

I love that I'm still in the city, but everyone thinks I'm in the 'burbs. I love that I have a yard, and yet I can hop on the bus and in 20 minutes I'm in CC. I love that I can walk down to Main St for a coffee, and then burn off every darn calorie walking back up the hill (okay, I hate walking up the hill, but I'm trying to think positively).

Though what I hate more than that light are the a**holes who drive to the front of the right lane of the ramp, but don't turn right toward Belmont Hills...INSTEAD, they try and turn left by speeding in front of the left lane of rightfully waiting cars. There is always a near accident & you can always tell when someone's doing it as their car is facing straight ahead instead of angled to turn right. JERKS!

Those people should all be shot.
