I wanted to give Spoons coffee house its own thread. While it is in a strange location, I must say that I have been there a few times now and it has really great coffee, food and is a great place to just hang out and chill! I am so glad that Andorra has a new business other than another chain store- it is a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Crossroads thread is 11 pages long and no one has even responded over here?
![]() I love spoons. and you won't find no stinking Green Mountain coffee over there. They use a local coffee roaster from Kimberton, pa i think it's near phoenixville. So the coffee is yum. Good lattes too. I really like the atmosphere, the front "living room area" cracks me up everytime, looks just like my mom's growing up, its so comfy and the thermoses with unlimited refills! This place may be a bit out of the way for those of you living near "the ridge" but it's worth the extra 5 min drive IMO, I live in Manyunk and stop on my way to work in the morning. I'm glad someone else has shown spoons some love on PB. |

Had to search to find this poor, neglected thread. Finally made it to Spoons this evening on my way home from a rather depressing trip to the Chemical Road shopping center. The place is cute and comfortable and my iced mocha, a much needed special treat, was delicious.

I agree this has been a neglected thread. I to visited.again the other day, after I was done with Crossroads/ Their coffee was great and so was the place as I always thought, but had to try crossroads. the owner at Spoons make's you feel like family , especially with the deco. it feels like home. And you know the old saying "There is know place like home ".

Just wanted to let people know that I've found a great warm weather treat in going to Spoons after an twilight walk through the trails at Bell's Mill. They extended their hours to 9 pm, so it has been nice to be able to go after work. ...And I also thought I could stir up some of you people who have been quiet about coffee lately.
(so entertaining!) |

Although its out of the way for me, I stopped by Spoons last week while I was driving to the Turnpike. At 7:30 in the morning, I was greeted with friendly service (I believe the owner was working) and picked-up an excellent cappacino and ham/egg/cheese sandwich. I was really impressed with coffee and the atmosphere is great. I just wish it was located in a more ideal location (although ErikaM makes a good point - it is a good rest stop on the way back from Wissahickon park).

I stopped in spoons the other day after being away for a bit travelling and found a new person working at the counter, she was very nice, but no air conditioning and the place was pretty dirty? Has this place changed hands or something? It used to be clean and cheerful but I went in and it was dead and dirty. Anyone know what the story is? I like to support local business but the place needs to be clean for me to order food there.
