biking...They quoted him saying how mountain biking is not only a good workout,
it also has a certain "mind-clearing" effect. The "mind-clearing" effect that
Dubya is talking about is commonly referred to as "Runners High". Reuters
Reported back in January the possibility that "Runners High" may be caused by
the same family of chemicals, specifically anandamide, that produce the "buzz"
from Marijuana smoke. Anandamide is a cannabinoid produced naturally in the
body that is known to produce similar effects as THC, the psychoactive chemical

What do you mean by that is reaching? Is it not a valid question given the statement he made regarding runners high? I thought it to be rather interesting myself, otherwise i wouldnt have sparked discussion...

Is this thread Hijacked??? Why is noone posting their opinions, I am only hearing comments about NJWEEDMAN and Duff, when they have nothing to do with this topic. Wow, I see some NARROW MINDED people in here. Go for a run and lighten up!! Lots of things give people a "high". Lots of activities "clear the mind". Not all involve a runner's high. Walking for instance. Besides, to extrapolate from Dubya saying that biking "clears his mind" that he's experiencing a chemical effect on his brain is nonsense. If you want to attack him for getting a runners high and denouncing drugs, then point you finger at his daily running routine.
Besides, he fell off his bike and scraped his knee. I'm sure that just shot the high to hell.

I guess he was operating the bike while intoxicated - BWI. Is that a misdemeanor in DC?
