Default Joe Dimaggio's Streak Is In Danger

I have now taken 8 consecutive SEPTA bus trips from King of Prussia to Center City and have had to stand during each one of them. The last one was a douzy. I was standing with my nose to the front glass of the bus next to the bus driver as we barreled down the road together in a bus so full that it looked like a scene in Calcutta. It was like bungie jumping only slightly more dangerous.

I hate SEPTA a lot. I've tried very hard to keep my carbon footprint in check. However, SEPTA is making me realize that nobody wants that. I believe it is SEPTA's role to drive us to DRIVE. The service is the pits. I'm bitter.

A few weeks ago, on the same bus, I sat next to a pile of vomit on the bus. It was the only time that I'd found a seat.

I'm absolutely convinced that at least the previous SEPTA management had as an underlying agenda keeping ridership down so as to avoid incurring additional operational costs, and as a result not only did nothing to promote new transit ridership but kept service intentionally mediocre to discourage anyone who might have considered using it.

Even with that, gas prices have driven a lot of people to transit. It remains to be seen whether the new leadership there is indeed "serious about change." But it was painfully obvious to me that SEPTA has long seen itself as, forgive my bluntness, nothing more than a rush hour bus system for poor people.

Count...why on earth have you gone out to KoP on SEPTA that many times? I might have tried it once out of curiosity, but certainly not 8 times!

Can't you take the El to 100 trolley out to Gulph Mills and switch to a bus? Or the R5 to Strafford and then a bus? I mean it is for work so it should be reimbursable right? Transfers suck but at least you could sit.

if you get on the 124 or 125 at 13th and market you should be able to get a seat no problem.

Really need that Route 100 extension to KoP.
