Default Development of Germantown Ave

Does anyone know what is happening with the new construction project on Germantown Ave near Washington Lane? I've just moved into the neighborhood. I think it has a lot of potential, but I'm not sure what has to happen to kind of kick start more development on that street. It doesn't really make much sense to me that Germantown doesn't have more fun and funky boutiques, art galleries or coffee shops. I certainly would not suggest morphing it into Chestnut Hill (not diversified enogh for me personally), but something nice.
