Arrow Night at the Theater to Benefit Community Garden

Enjoy a night of comedy and help keep a community garden green and growing! Old Academy Players in East Falls will present a special performance of Stephen Sondheim's musical comedy, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" on Thursday, June 12 at 8:00 PM. The performance will benefit Hansberry Garden & Nature Center, Inc. a not-for-profit community garden located in southwest Germantown. Besides making a corner of Germantown bloom, HGNC sponsors a 4H club for children, donates fresh, organic produce to Philadelphia Green's City Harvest program, and helps raise community awareness of the environmental benefits of sustainable gardening. An hors d'oeuvres and desserts buffet will be available at intermission. Tickets are $15 and are partially tax deductible. Free parking at the theater, located at 3540 Indian Queen Lane, between Ridge and Henry Avenues in northwest Philadelphia.
