Default Tires?

I need 4 new tires for my car. Does anyone have a recommendation of where to go locally?

Gabriel's Goodyear at Ridge and Monastery in Roxborough has serviced my vehicles for years, and I am quite satisfied.

BJ's wholesale club in Plymouth meeting. Get your tires changed while you shop. (cheapest place around!)

Also used Gabriel's on Ridge to replace a tire. They didn't have it in stock and had it by noon the next day.

I would NOT suggest Pep Boys. Some genius there actually attempted to sell me a different tire than was on the vehicle. (different tread, different speed rating) "but it's the same size and is meant for an SUV".

Default Tires

Wherever you decide to buy tires be very careful If you buy Goodyear, Michelin, Uniroyal or other major brand you should be OK however many, if not all private brand and store brand tires sold at Pep Boys and all the other stores are now made in CHINA. There have been several recalls- BIG surprise there- and I would not trust them at 5 MPH let alone at highway speeds. Be sure to read the fine print on the sidewall to ascertain where they were manufactured. You may spend a little more on tires made here but will have peace of mind.
