Default Johnson and Morton

I'm just curious what this neighborhood is like. I'm moving from out of state and have found an apartment here, but I'm wondering what the safety is like. It seems somewhat close to Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill area, which I think is good; but I've also been through some parts of Germantown that don't seem particularly safe. How would you characterize E. Johnson and Morton?

Well, we just bought a house on W. Johnson Street, which is pretty nice from what I see, so far. Granted, we're still putting in an alarm system and I already have my Mossberg 410 on order but that's more because its a home in the city, not because of where its located.

Sorry to say, but I have not heard great things about E. Johnson street...not that I've heard horrible things but I have heard its a little more shady over there than on my side.
