Default Breakfast places in Mt Airy?

Where does everyone eat breakfast around here? I've discovered Infusion for coffee & bagels, and there's the obvious Dunkin Donuts. But what about:

1. A great brunch?
2. Quickie breakfast sandwiches?

I've never had brunch in Mt. Airy, but I know there are a few places that offer it.

Cresheim Cottage
NXNW
Geechee Girl Rice Cafe

You can also get breakfast at the:

Trolley Diner
The Point of Destination Cafe
Mt. Airy Breakfast and Lunch

There's also High Point Cafe and Coffee Junction.

We usually go to High Point since it's just blocks away. The food, coffee and service are great!

Cafette has a great brunch menu NEAR Mt Airy. It's on The 8100 block of Ardleigh in Chestnut Hill.

Cake in Chestnut Hill is delicious (behind Robertson's Florist).

Smile Breakfast places...

Thanks! I've been to Cake and LOVE it. I had the best french toast I've ever tasted there.

Yesterday we were just looking for something quick on the way home from a friend's house and realized we didn't know any place. We figured some of those cheesesteak / sandwich places over off Walnut Ln (not in Mt Airy obviously) would have something....but they were both closed. So we kept driving towards home thinking we'd find something. And....nothing.

We ended up at Infusion for a bagel & cream cheese (which was delicious albeit slightly pricey, is that how much those cost these days?!)...anyways...nice to know there are some other options. I know I am just one of the many people hoping for lots more restaurants to open out here.

As much as I love Chestnut Hill, I know what you mean about wanting something within easy walking distance in Mt. Airy. I've heard that the cute breakfast-lunch place next to the post office on Germantown Ave. in Mt. Airy (near the Pelham intersection, I think) is good, inexpensive, and clean. We keep meaning to try it, but haven't. Sadly, I don't even know the name. Maybe someone else on Phillyblog has been?

I know it is not in our neighborhood,. but Flannery's Deli on Willow Grove Avenue (just before the Sunoco) has great breakfast sandwiches (215-233-9915) My favorite place for sitdown breakfast in the area is the Fairlane Diner in Erdenheim on Bethlehem Pike.

Default Breakfast places

It doesn't need to be RIGHT in the neighborhood (although that is preferred), but a short driving distance is okay too.

Clean (or at least the best appearance of clean) is very welcomed. We had an unpleasant experience prior to ending up at Infusion.

That's the Trio Cafe....and IMHO, it is above average.

And the Fairlane is very good, but the wait(lines often go out the door), can be a bit much.
