Default Mt. Airy Learning Tree

Has anyone here taken classes or taught a class through MALT? It sounds like a great organization...I should teach a class on how to be a smart-aleck.

(Edited to remove a potentially offensive word.)

My wife and I took our pre-wedding dance classes through MALT. They were pretty good - Debbie Klingler was the instructor. My wife has looked into doing some Spanish instruction for them, but it hasn't worked out time- or $$-wise yet.

Some of the classes - like the voiceover class and some of the other "professional development" type courses are basically people offering a little bit of instruction as a marketing tool for their much more expensive services. But the vast majority are good, interesting topics, and it's a nice way to meet some of your neighbors and learn something.

I teach here every spring. I like the folks who run the classes a lot, they seem genuinely interested in the community.

For what it's worth, I don't market my services during the class and I don't think it's encouraged.

Default MALT

I have not taken any classes there yet but my partner and I are planning to at some point. Thinking of the Stained Glass and Photography courses - maybe in the fall.
