Default Barbeque Place?

My family would like to organize barbeque outdoors.
Is there a place in Fairmont park or anywhere close enough to Germantown where we can reserve a table and built-in grill?
I know it is possible outside of the city in big State Parks.

All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Blue Bell Hill offers a nice barbeque spot on the G-town side of the Creek, while Dago Louie's (Pachella field) is a good one on the Roxborough side of the creek.

I think you need to get a permit from Farimount Park to have a large BBQ/party. Plus, the permit helps to secure the spot for you. Maybe someone from FP can help you with locations. I see a lot of large groups under the pavilion on West River Drive.

I have no idea how you go about getting a permit.

Call the Fairmount Park Commission Special Events office: 215-685-0060 for permitting information. If you do need a form, it's online: http://www.fairmountpark.org/SpecialEventPermit.asp
