The ol' johnson street arguement. Fellaz around in Mt.Airy more and more have defacto issued Johnson street as the dividing line. Now stenton being the border of germantown I'm not familiar with. I thought it went farther.

Unless the US Post Office changes the zip code, Johnson Street is a Border.

NOT Washington Lane, despite Mt Airy USA.

Zip codes are not boundaries. That being said, Johnson St will always be the border, just like Columbus Blvd will always be Delaware Ave and the river drives will be East and West.

Default Historically, Washington Lane

From Wikipedia: "The boundaries of Germantown borough at the time it was absorbed into the city of Philadelphia were Wissahickon Avenue, Roberts Avenue, Wister Street, Stenton Avenue and Washington Lane."

Wikipedia is not the final authority on anything. Johnson St. has always been the border and always will be the border, regardless of what someone may have posted on some internet site.

Wikipedia may be a good site to gather a little insight, but it is not THE place to quote as the final authority. I guess anything that isn't on wikipedia proves it really doesn't exist.

I'm replying:

Certainly not the authority by any means. It is just one more piece of information.

When you said "regardless of what someone may have posted on some internet site," I am somehow missing the ring of irony.

Aren't we defensive!

As far as one more piece of information, if the piece is quoted from an unreliable reference, why even use it in the first place?

As for the ring of irony, that will only apply if someone quotes me as a source of proof, much like you did about what someone thought to be the truth and posted to a website, with no one verifying the statement.

Not defensive at all. However, wikipedia can be edited by people who have NO idea what they are talking about, so why would a site like this be used as proof about any topic?
