Question Boyer Park/basketball courts

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for all of your great advice so far! We are still checking out homes, mainly in east mt. Airy at the present time. Does anyone have info. about Boyer park? I know the part by Chew seems pretty sketchy--just from appearances. What about the side by the basketball courts? I know parks can be problem areas at night. Any info. or insight?

Also, any insight on Blakemore street?

Thanks

My daughter plays baseball there. The baseball fields are quite nice. They have games there on Saturdays and an evening game during the week. My younger daughter enjoys the playground.

I've only been there on Saturday afternoons and it seems fine to me, but I'm only there for a few hours.

I have a friend who lives off of Blakemore Street on Hortter Street. The area between Chew and the R7 I think is less sketchy than the area between Chew and Germantown Avenue. I personally like the other side of the R7 between Ardleigh and Crittenden better.

What basketball courts - Pleasant Playground?

I have lived near Boyer and Hortter for 30 years. What is Boyer Park? Sometimes they come up with new names for areas and I know it as something else.

PM me if you would like. I will give you block-by-block opinion.

Default Blakemore St.

I live pretty close to Blakemore St and it's one of my favorite routes when I take neighborhood walks. The houses seem well-kept and the people are friendly, and it's nice and close to the Stenton train station.
