Great photos. Looks like a LOT of work, but the progress looks great too.

Can't wait!

Default Future Earth Pub

Hello all,

I can't wait until folks stop referring to 7136 Germantown as the 'former Angelsea'. I imagine that won't happen until we open. As you can surmise from the photos, we decided to do a bit more than just dusting and painting. We appreciate all the excitement and patience and we are still hopeful for a late June/early July opening.

Being recent transplants to Mt. Airy, we would like to thank everyone for the warm and enthusiastic welcome.

Cheers,
Tom (& Peggy)

Default Looking forward to it

I'm very much looking forward to dining on your flatbreads + enjoying your beers. I just wish that you were *that* Tom Baker- y'know, big mop o'hair, Jelly Babies, etc.

It's a Doctor Who reference, y'know,

Default Earth Pub

Can't wait for you to open either!! I wish I was within walking distance so I could stumble home after enjoying many pints!

As it is, I suppose I'll have to drink responsibly.

Default Walking distance

To quote Steven Wright, "anywhere is walking distance, if you've got the time."

I heard a rumor that a copper fermenting tank was stolen from Bread/Earth...I hope this isn't true and won't hold up the opening...

Default Inside info, of a sort

I walked past the site yesterday, + spoke to Peggy Baker. She says that they're aiming for an opening date of July.

Default i'm excited!

i love a good brew pub. i don't actually live in the area yet, but this addresses my one concern about moving... "But where will i go to drink good beer!"

a suggestion for the owners.... a Mug Club. there is something very satisfying about walking into a pub and being given your very own mug. the joint i frequent in baltimore charges $50/year for the club and you get a numbered mug, an always lower price on your beers and they do a few "members only" events throughout the year.

oh, and if you wanted to be a "Steeler's" Bar and show the black and gold every sunday during football season, i'll name my first born after you

I like the idea of a mug club, but they say they won't have any tvs so that's a no go for the Steelers. A block away is McMenamin's with a great beer selection and many tvs, but you'd better be ready to be an Eagles fan!

Default i guess i'll have to give up my dream...

of good microbrews AND good football

i can be an eagle's fan i suppose, but it will always be secondary. i bleed black and gold.

the eagles do have very pretty green shirts.

i'm sometimes quite, um, girlish? in the way i pick teams. for example, i love the bengals because they have the best helmets
