I like to belive that I think objectively and not with my emotions, so before I go on a DRM bashing campaign, I did my due diligence and researched her. Outside of her awful website, and the fact that her former Chief of Staff was indicted and convcited, I find it hard to nail her her to the cross as most seem to enoy. Judging by what I've read, she's done a lot of good things in the 8th, albeit they may never make the history books. So, I am curious as too why so many people dislike her. Can someone out there share some anecdotes?
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to talk to her at a Chestnut Hill community meeting. She wasn't the ogre that most painted her to be, nor was she the comatose elected offical I often read about. So, is there another Donna Reed Miller out there? The one I met was intelligent, and had a honest concern for people. True, she lacks charisma, and I don't see her winning any oratory prizes either; but to say she's done nothing is harsh. My forecast for November is that Miller will come out on top (even if it is by a small margin). She has the Democratic City Commitee behind her as well as the Northwest Alliance, which has some heavy political muscle. I don't see any of her opponents topping that. Unless one of them can walk on water or find a cure for cancer, they don't have a chance in November. |

That is the "I-want-to-be-re-elected" Miller.
![]() In essence, Miller isn't the worst person in the world. But there is a reason nearly everyone want her gone. I went from a supporter to wanting her gone myself. Here's me thread: http://www.phillyblog.com/philly/showthread.php?t=36228 Also, from all my experiences with her and her office, there was always one young male staffer who always seemed to get in my way to talking to her. Ugly guy, too. Also is about my age. I wonder....
