Default Anyone know Baseball Cards?

I was recently gifted with 7 large boxes of baseball cards, all 1987 & 1988 organized by year, mfg, team and player. They were owned by a dealer I was told, and they're in what looks to be Good to Very Good condition. I'd say they were Mint, but I don't know what "Mint" means in the card world.
There are a couple of thousand there, at least.
Does anyone know a reputable dealer who might want to look at them and make an offer?

Easier still, get a copy of the Beckett price guide magazine for current card prices. It is often sold in larger news stands.

Or go to

That was the Dot Com era of baseball cards. Too many sets and collectors. In the end, it all fell apart.

I'd hold off on trying to sell these to a dealer until you're sure of what you have. For example.....1987 was the year barry bonds was a rookie. whatever you're feelings on him are his card is still worth $$$ and after / if he brakes aron's record it will go up even more. just one example but there are some other notable rookies in the years you've mentioned.

check:

also Ebay is a good price checker to see what the market for things like this is doing. a dealer can BS you all he wants, but to see what people are bidding on cards you have may help you figure out exactly what you have is worth.

Thanks for the info, guys.
I know about the Bonds card, I'm pretty sure I don't have that one, but I haven't gone through everything yet. But that would be sweet, wouldn't it?
