I have lived on Greene St. and Tuplehocken and need to move. There is a fabulous house for sale on E. Collum St. Collum is between Wister and Ashmead. I had no idea this block existed. It has a great feel and is very clean. Wister seems OK and the park is right down the street, but Ashmead and Gtown there feel super sketchy. I called the police district and the officer began the conversation by saying "Did you put $ down yet?" Suprised, I said, "No." She said, "Don't." But she couldn't give me any specifics other than drug activity, and eventually told me there was no safe place in the entire city. This was not helpful.
I have 2 little ones, ages 2 and 9mos. Any helpful thoughts for me and the family before we do put $ down? michelle |

Back away from the block, don't run, because you could end up in serious harm if you turn your back on it. It's worth looking elsewhere, unless you want to see your kids grow up without ever seeing that big bright ball of flame in the sky, because you won't want to have them play out there. Collom has been bad forever, and then some, with little chance of getting better while your kids are still breathing. Hey, bad people need a place to go, too, and they found it on Collom.
