He doesn't have a prayer.

He will lie, cheat, and steal in a desperate attempt to win, but the voters of Philadelphia are sick and tired of the broken down machine, corrupt politicians, and an unresponsive city government!

While I wish I could agree- really, I do- when in doubt, bet on inertia. And, inertia says that Brady's GOTV apparatus is not to be overlooked. Remember: this is the man who was largely responsible for laying the 80-20 ass-whooping on Bush in '04 which swung PA for Kerry. People question Brady's smarts all the time, but the guy knows what he's doing when it comes to the nuts-and-bolts of getting voters to the polls.

That pretty much cuts right to the heart of the matter.

Agreed. Never, ever underestimate the power of the machine to put literally *anyone* in office. The rotting corpse of Mussolini? Sure, we can get him elected! Just get the word out to the ward leaders...

I wish I could agree as well. If Brady wins I will be sick.

I just think that everyone in the NW realizes the corruptness but the North East and Soth Philly which have tons of city workers/union workers plus overall more residents are going to vote for Brady. He is not only part of the machine but really he is the machine.

Brady is like some other Philadelphia politicians I can think of (i.e. Dick Mariano) - a street thug that wears a suit to work.

Default Giving credit where due

Bob Brady has done some very helpful things for Philly, something which I doubt could be said for Mariano. I was particularly impressed with the way in which Brady negotiated ends to SEPTA, CCP, and Philadelphia School District teachers strikes.

Give the guy *some* credit, at least,

I like Bob Brady.

He reminds me of officer Bob Brady from South Park.
