I do appreciate his other nonsensical post in a real estate thread where he said he would be able to sell real estate unless I was leaning next to it...cuckoo. just cuckoo.

I never really had racial/cultural prejudice even as a little kid because I grew up as part of a campus where there were Baptist seminary students from all over the world, many with kids, and we knew them and played with them, so I had friends from Kenya and Nigeria and South Africa and Asia and Canada and Russia, etc. It never made any sense to me at all why anyone would think in a racist manner. My parents were Christian educators and ministers who believed in equal rights and who didn't talk about bigoted things and neither did our neighbors and friends. I was a bit shocked later in life when I got beyond the shelter of the Baptist do-gooder universe to learn how openly racist some people could be, and still am sometimes, since I find Philly to be in some ways more openly racist than where I grew up. I guess I have some prejudice about people who ARE prejudiced, but I still don't hate them; I just figure they're uninformed or unenlightened and try not to judge too much if they're over the age of 70. I guess the Christian bigots baffle me the most. It's so un-Christlike that I can't fathom how they can reconcile their attitudes. It makes me sad.

Default I Think...

I think that every person has a level of prejudice inside of themselves.

I have friends, good pals of several different ethnicities too but when we get together sometimes we can each be surprised at some of the comments that can spew from so-called "above-it-all, worldly, educated, don't see color at all" mouths.

Statements such as not understanding why "they" cannot use the "n word", Asians and/or Hispanics each live with ten or more relatives in one house, Whites are naturally born racists (there's a big difference between being prejudiced and a racist), African-American women being obese, or just born knowing how to cook, or being motherly, homosexuals being loose sexually, "brothas being greatly endowed"...

Yes, ethnics even do such to each other. An example being an African-American male friend of mine telling me several instances wherein another African-American male will speak to a White person one way and with a snap of a finger start using "eubonics" with him. LOL!

My prejudice? I have to watch myself when speaking about illegal aliens. Frankly I never saw myself until questioned about my tone and comments by a few other people.

I have to say , I'm the least prejudiced of you all . See I hate all of you equally and the level of disdain in which I read your horribly egocentric posts is even across the board . Oh BTW good morning all.

P.S. tvandsportsguy GO BACK TO JERSEY!

P.S.S I take that back! I really hate Towels , I mean really hate towels , not just towels made of fabric either paper ones as well . I lay awake at night sweaty from frustration from deciding what kind of enslavement or rampage I can bestow upon them .

If i had to pick anyone on PB in which to have a 3-way with, it would be towelie and jedi. seriously.

I know you're new here, but depictions of people being plowed in the a$$ belong in the political forum

You know its awful attitudes like yours that lead us to the awful towel holocaust.

They would lead my ancestors into the "spa" and burn them in order to make them warm for humans. Its awful attitudes like yours that made the world look away when these atrocities were happening.

um, packers2 = rodo, not bloosum. Anyway, he got banned again.

I'm surprised that the bad air didn't come up in this thread.

IMO the person who insists he is without prejudice is lying to himself. However, I do believe it is possible to control one's prejudices instead of being controlled by them -- just as it's possible for a person with clinical depression to keep his "black dog" on a very short leash with thought (and in some cases the right chemicals).

"David Ruffian": Freudian slip?

Full disclosure: On the subject of clinical depression, I know whereof I speak.
