Hmmm ... I rarely buy food at theaters because it's so ridiculously expensive (and because I don't really like popcorn and Fresh Grocer is across from the Bridge). But movie theaters do make most of their revenue from concessions and not from screening films. Something to consider.

What movie theater do you go to that has a metal detector? I would be more worried about that.
Anyway, after paying $22.50 for two small popcorns and 2 small drinks, I have brought stuff in. (It was hard finding a place to plug in the microwave, to pop the popcorn though )

I sneak in candy but buy popcorn and drink there.
I try to bring picnic lunches to amusement parks that let you reenter ie. sesame place, dutch wonderland. It is not only expensive but horrible food as well. I know concessions are the big revenue generator but for 8 bucks, can i get at least something somewhat fresh and not rubbery frozen chicken fingers. As a kid going to GCC NE we used to buy one drink from taco bell and fill up a giant container with the free refills...talk about ghetto. |

I don't get your point. Are you saying that the OP should consider buying the food at the theater to support its business model? |

If I read it right, the OP said he tried to sneak the sandwich into an amusement park, not the theater. I had no idea you couldn't bring any food into an amusement park anymore. I don't eat when I go to the movies, so I don't face the problem of buying food there or sneaking my own. But $22 for 2 popcorns and drinks is outrageous!!!!
