It helps to wash away the sins.

I tried this technique when it rained tonight, only to get arrested for indecent exposure.

I don't wear those flip-flops, especially not the cheap flimsy ones I see on so many people. If I want to show my toes I wear actual sandals. And not in the rain...that's kind of...well...stupid.

It started ages ago actually. It was more a male thing as well. Older males would wear sandals with socks, so to me this will never be in style. The sports sliders are common with those who are athletic, so they can change out of cleats or "court" shoes before going on the street, not everyone does this for fashion reasons - or lack thereof depending upon you siding on this issue. It does look funny but the one that tops this is people going in public in PJ bottoms and their slipper - it actually drives my husband nuts, lol.

omg i love my rainbows.

flip flops are comfortable and don't require socks... which makes them excellent for any warm-weather application. Not just the beach, sirs. What's the beef? podophobia? podophilia?

You just said it (on bold), remember that the thread's theme was "wearing them on a chilly rainy day"

For the record, I love women feet, cute ones though...not all, and they're some really ugly and disgusting feet out there wearing flipflops.

Now, I can understand the "confortable" part of it, but some women take it too far, at the office some wear flip flops all the time, which I find completely tacky or "kitsch", here you are in a professional office enviroment, with shoes that makes you look like you're at your home mopping the floor, washing the car or relaxing at the pool. Is like the dress code rules (or common sense and taste) doesn't applies for footwear, you see a person elegantly dressed, and there you go....flip flops on their feet.

What's worse is that the dress code is unofficially "bent" for women, the second you see a man wearing flip flops he will probably receive some kinda "warning".
