At the very end of the clip:
"we don't want this to turn into another Philadelphia." I think this claim is poignant and can't be ignored. It's not the racist folk who bother me, it's the folks who are troubled by race and associate class with race who bother me. (edit) That is to read: "it is the people who run away from minorities because they fear them" who are a problem. These were the folks who perpetuated white flight and helped cement a lot of the problems that we are now left trying to solve in Philadelphia. It's not disputed by anyone, including the NAACP, that school busing created an inverse racial polarity in the school system at the primary level. While many minorities benefited from the policy, a huge sum of children did not and continue to fail at alarming rates as the consequence of busing (white flight) pushed tax money and income going to the schools out of the area into suburban enclaves, which continues to the present day. Wilkes-Barre though has nothing to worry about as it lacks so few minorities living around the area there's really nothing to run away from, whereas down in SE-PA the rhetoric is more believable by many unenlightened people. I'm afraid the powers that be, namely the City and Harrisburg, will continue down the road of failure for many more decades to come as a city wide breakup of the school district will only be tried as a solution epochs from now. Edit: Extended my sentence structure so that I don't appear, "ahem", racist.

Music. Growing up going to shows in the early to mid-nineties there were oftentimes skinheads (rumored to be from SJ) that would go to ska shows and pick fights with the punk kids. Being obviously ethnic in appearance, I was often a target. My little brother was actually jumped at the 21st and Chestnut church in 1998 by a bunch of these worthless cowards.

My bad, I'm not too good at detecting sarcasm.
Either way, being Jewish, I tend to think of all skinheads as worthless cowards, but I'm particularly hostile towards ones that attack 15 year old kids.
