The problem is the thugs want to commit crimes and get away with it and get pizzed and think there's some injustice when they get caught. Then when they resist, the police are supposed to just let them go rather than beat the living crap out of them to get them to comply. That's not how it works. And exactly how many guns were found in the car? And the the alledged shooter, was he ever caught?

Did they take turns passing the pistol around (here you shoot, now you shoot...wait, I didn't get a chance to shoot either)...
