If the cops had opened fire and killed these animals they would have been perfectly justified. All these scum got was a beat down while resisting arrest...they got off way too easy.
quote=merkin;767894]funny, cause to me it looked like the guys where scared sh!less and where in defense mode, sheilding themselves and not resisting arrest. if i was in that car and i saw my buddies being treated like that i would sure not be willing to get out of the car and get a serious ass woopin'. one guy gets cuffed and is still being kicked and dragged. it was wrong regardless of what happened.[/quote] |

Malloy,
For the love of God, please shut this thread down. That ghettobraggingrights site has to be a ****ing sick joke meant to perpetuate stereoptypes and foment hate. People are taking the bait hook, line. and sinker. Internet tough guys are taking their shirts off and flexing their biceps. In short, the dialogue has turned poinsonous and the commentary can only get uglier from here.

The commentary can get uglier or the commentators can get uglier?
BTW, after reading through the last few posts, I'm actually looking forward to a good ol' fashioned PB smackdown at Philly Flavors on Fairmount.

I can't believe how racist this thread is.. 15 cops beating a man (when he's already down) is extremely unacceptable! Everyone's got rights, no matter what you've done. Hate the crime, not the criminal.

I haven't watched the video in at least 24 hours, so my recollection may be off; but I seem to recall that the police stopped using force once the suspects were restrained. If a suspect in a shooting resists arrest, no matter the race, age, or gender, the police should have pretty wide latitude in detaining the suspect -- especially considering the brazen attitude that many criminals have adopted even towards the police. Should they be able to continue using force once (s)he has been restrained and is no longer a threat? Of course not. But I don't think that's what happened here.

The door swings both ways in this case. I know force must be used sometimes, but it looked a bit excessive and and went on longer than necessary (more than 10 police to subdue 3 men?).. It seemed to turn into this very primeval 'group think' where things get out-of-hand and keep escalating.. plus, emotions from recent events obviosly had to play into this.
