Flame away ...
the cop getting killed last week does not justify what they did. By beating these people while they are lying prone on the ground they become the thing they are supposed to protect people against.

It's just more proof of how self serving cops are. Beat the crap out of the next perp because one of ours died. I'm sure they will get away with the same way the Rodney King cops got away with what they did and the ones from NYC a few weeks ago.

I invite all of you who are against the cops on this one to take your ranting over to www.domelights.com,

and see how long you survive over there.

They didn't THINK they were suspects, the cops watched everything go down, they were narcotic cops on surveliance and this happened while they were sitting right there, the shooter ran and the 3 with the shooter took off in the car.

Give it a ****ing rest. Sean Bell and his buddies were crack dealing douchebags (Bell himself had been arrested for selling to an undercover less than a year before his death and his budies had done time for gun and drug possession) and the evidence at trial established that they threatened to go to their car, retrieve a gun, and shoot a man with whom they had exchanged words. Under cover cops overheard the dispute and tried to investigate. When they approached Bell (whose BAC was 3x times the legal limit) and his buddies, Bell attempt to run one officer over and then rammed a van full of responding officers. They deserved to get shot ... many many times.

In the instant situation the PPD pulled over three man who have just been involved in a shooting -- the fourth suspect (and the one who did the actual shooting) took off on foot. They had no way of knowing whether the men were armed and whether they would try to resist. I'm hard pressed to condemn these guys from the safety of my own home. I don't routinely place my ass on the line to apprehend dangerous criminals. Neither do you.

Save the dramatics, this wasn't a prolonged beating that lasted several minutes as was the case with Rodney King. I agree that their tactics were bit excessive, but it was all over in less than thirty seconds. At the end of the day some punishment is probably appropriate but I doubt that what they did warrants criminal charges or even dismissal from the force.

And those of you who want to play the racial angle ... it's hard to tell from the tape whether all those involved were white. Save it until you know the facts. And before you go condemning the cops let the internal affairs and DA give you their take.

Sharpton's a ****ing clown! "

He said the following.

Quote:
I've not seen anything like that since Rodney King, and it's worse than Rodney King, and we cannot allow our community to be under siege," Sharpton said. "We've got to stop this nonsense in our community, acting like you got to be a certain level black to be treated within the law."
The community is under seige because guys who have clout (like Sharpton) won't step up to the plate and tell young black men that they need to stop dealing drugs, shooting each other, and fathering children whom they have no intention of supporting. What's lost in all of this is that two of the guys in the car had several drug arrests and they were at the scene of a triple shooting.

The police were watching the viewing because they expected retaliation. They were not surprised when four men arrived in a gold Mercury and one of them started shooting. The cops then followed said Mercury. If I were the police I would have had a hard time not shooting those guys, as they were clearly very dangerous, involved in a shooting retaliating for a murder. Thank God that Philly is not New York, and the black leaders here know what is holding back black Philadelphians. (Hint: it isn't the police.)

Al Sharpton's dad ran away with Al Sharpton's sister. I did not make this up.

It's May ===> Sweeps Month ===> Extra attention for tv news stations without even more mindless drivel ===> PAYDIRT!!!!

Fox29 and company must be doing extra steps in their happy dance thanks to their fortuitous timing in following a police chase.
