However: Homophobia is officially taboo among the black intelligentsia. It was interesting to read George Jackson's column in the Inquirer a couple of weeks ago -- I forget what the subject was, but it touched on homosexuality, and the essay was an exercise in tolerance properly understood: he made a valiant and IMO mostly successful effort to square what was evidently his personal disapproval of homosexuality (grounded in his religious tradition, it appeared) with the need to be accepting of all politically and socially.

Also: You too should check out the Tom Joyner Morning Show from time to time (6-10 am, WRNB, 107.9 FM). The subject comes up often enough in the context of other stories, and while Tom and his crew make fun of it mercilessly, they never criticize or condemn openly gay people, black or white.

I enjoyed the Kidd Chris show in the afternoons, but I knew he was gonna flop in the mornings, love em, or hate em, Preston and Steve dominate the mornings in this city. That's why they get paid a VERY large sum of cash!

Is Jedi Mind Fart The Only One Who Gets It ??

If i had to pick anyone on PB in which to have a 3-way with, it would be towelie and jedi. seriously.

I recall seeing, in last year's Philadelphia Magazine Salary Issue, that Preston and Steve made over 300k apiece.

I'm not sure about the other crew memebers' salaries though.

OMG the drive in this morning sucked SO bad. I think Preston and Steve are responsible for some road rage because of how much they suck. The complete nonsense they blabber about for hours almost made me want to slam my head into the wheel. Then when you find out this city LOVES them, I DID SLAM MY HEAD INTO MY WHEEL!!!!



I just can't wait until they show up in my neighborhood and ruin the bike race again.


Seriously people, do you really think Steve is funny? I can't understand how Kathy and the rest of the show laugh so much at him. I don't really hear Preston laughing so much, maybe hes cool. But the rest of the people on that show sound like pawns laughing when the "audience laugh" lights go on.
