Default Commerce Bank...Mishap

just found this amusing...

http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...20041/1001/rss

Could you imagine the scene at the teller's window.

"Are you Sure I Can Withdraw the whole thing?"
"yes, Mr. Lovell it's your 5 Million... I don't need to check your ID... Have a nice day"
"That's OK i'll only need 2 Million for pocket change"

What would you have done?

If I were this fellow, and I had my account at Commerce, I'd be closing it right now.

That was my first thought too... and based on this article, it was indeed the shoe-store Benjamin Lovell.

Shows you yet again the pitfalls of journalism.

Evidently the Associated Press report picked up by the Asbury Park Press missed some details about the victim Benjamin Lovell, for it described him as a man who "works for a property management company."

My guess is that property management is what Woodlawn Trustees Inc. does. Directors and employees are two different things.
