Default Good urologists in the city?

I have a potentially serious problem with pain "down there." I went to the ER of Lankenau Hospital and they suggested I visit Max Ahn in the hospital. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this or urologists in the city. I'd travel anywhere in the city or suburbs. I had a bad experience with my one back home and would like to visit one who spends more than five minutes with a patient. Thanks!

Alan Wein, MD @ HUP. Haven't had personal experience, but he's known to be one of the best in the field.

My father has seen Marc Lavine of Urological Associates, who has offices spread throughout the NE. He's a young guy and is very, very thorough. He caught my dad's prostate cancer VERY early.

I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer last March by Irvin Hirsch at Jefferson. While Hirsch was good, and did my surgery, I would recommend pursuing someone at UPenn for follow ups. My follow ups with their Urology department lends me to think they are better organized and more patient focussed. If you have pain, and weren't treated for testicular torsion, (you'd know it if you had it!), testicular cancer is something you want to watch out for. Please get it looked at ASAP by someone at either place, first course of action by the people at Lankenau should have been an ultra sound, not a "talk to someone else."

The Abramson Cancer Center is a center of excellence for treating TC, but first you have to get a Urologist to take a look at your ultra sound and if needed, perform an orchiectomy.

PM me if you want more details or advice!
