[Note, IMHO McCain is suseptable to a real mental meltdown at any moment. It wouldn't shock me if a mouth foaming McCain being wrestled from a podium by Secret Service while he screams "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!" was beamed across every television in America one October day.]

wow. now THAT is interesting. why do you say that?

I remember the bomb Iran stuff, that was wierd, are there other things like that?

I confess, when I see him on TV I am somewhat mesmerized by that golfball thing on his face... I know it has nothing to do with his ability to lead, etc., but I can't help wondering if it is going to get any bigger...

He has a history of losing his temper and lashing out at people who oppose him, especially in the Senate.
He recently compared a supporter of guestworker programs to supporting Jim Crow and compared people opposed to his McCain Kennedy bill to racists.

I think the most likely scenario for that to happen is if he doesn't make peace with the Conservatives of the party and they really become a bur in his saddle so to speak.

He's much more comfortable with his "reaching across the aisle" credentials, than he is with his "working with the Conservative base" creds. He get's prodded with pointed questions saying he's not a real C or R, and he could snap.

If he's smart, strategically, he'll begin to stake out the "high ground", by only talking about policy (at this point, unless he's going to bash both of them, that's all he can talk about).
Well, so much for that...
McCain slams Obama as deceptive, inexperienced
Taking dead aim at the Democratic frontrunner, Sen. John McCain rebuked Barack Obama as an “inexperienced candidate” who is making empty promises to the American people of a “holiday from history.”
“Will we make the right changes…or will we heed the appeals for change that ignore the lessons of history and lack confidence in the intelligence and ideals of free people?” McCain said before about 500 supporters after declaring victory Tuesday in the Wisconsin Primary.

I told you he had a bad temper.
