Default What do I do about a party house?

There is a rental house in my neighborhood that holds beer parties about every 2 weekends out of the month. These aren't college kids but 20-something parents with a child. They pack the house with about 2 doz. or so of their friends & get wasted, sometimes until 5 the next morning. There's a deck on the back of the house where most of the nonsense takes place. They fire up a chimnea which is right against the back wall, then pour lighter fluid down the top to watch the flames shoot out. They shoot fireworks off the deck. They throw their trash in other neighbors yards for them to clean up the next day. And they pee right off the deck into other yards. They fight, yell, & curse all night. And since the yard faces the side street, they try to entice young women to come to their party (some of these girls are underage). If the women turn them down, they shout obscenities at them. Now they have some kind of toy that shoots food across the yard & the side street onto other people's houses. Neighbors are now being woken up with eggs & fruit being pelted against their windows & their walls. The cops have been called many times. When they do show up (after many hours & many calls), the partiers act like they're leaving & get into their car just to circle the block until the cops pull away; then the party starts up again. Or they turn off the lights & the loud music & hide until - again - the cops leave. Talking to these tenants doesn't work, they only get more obnoxious. And there's no way to get in touch with the landlord; her billing address on the tax website is the same as the rental. What's next b4 someone does something stupid & someone gets hurt?

Default How many ways can you spell dysfunction

I have a question, if many people don't care or can't do much about most respiratory deaths, most depression, most murders, above average cancers and heart disease and no clean air in their city why should they care about this? This isn't something out of the ordinary here, get with the program bro and consider yourself lucky your not on the Obituary page and there is a turnaround going here, ya see?

Contact your police district's liaison.
Go in and have a discussion with him.
Be calm, don't exaggerate and explain your situation.

Trust me, it works

If that is the case, it sounds like it may be rented out illegally. File a complaint with L&I.

Organize the neighbors. Go over there with a large group (no pitchforks) and tell them how it's gonna be from now on. If they don't answer the door, leave them a nice long note explaining what will be. Don't threaten, just warn.

Default Thanx all!

Neighbors have gotten together to talk to the renters & the police. But since the parties are "infrequent", the police told us to call when it's happening. As for the renters, they just don't care. L&I sounds like a good way to go next. Thanx.
