I recall a movie from the 80s called, I think Starfighter, which proposed that videogames are part of a mass training program to fight aliens.

We'll be ready.

Hopefully, they'll pull out some secret Tesla weapons, or god will give us magic swords and stuff. Whatever the case, I'll be better than TV.
