I absolutely agree with you. I did not mean to sound disparaging toward anyone labeled with a learning disability, whatever my feelings about standards in medical school. If anything, I dislike the labels because they can stigmatize; just like calling someone a functional illiterate. Such assessments of people can stick with them for life.
