The ethnic cleansing of Philadelphia continues. The blacks die, while the white cops are busy with "shut the duck up" and dog parks.

Nope, just not into your "hug a criminal" ways.

Your cynisism sickens me.

He was REALLY sorry! And he said it'd never happen again, and if you'd just been there, you'd know he mean it. An he said he'd take care of her and the babies, and this time it's gonna be different, you wait, you see!

Yep and I bet with a litte community service and some attention from a social worker he will be back to his walking little old ladies across the street self in no time.

Well, at lest this time it's not my liberalism that sickens you! At least I've come by my cynicism honestly. My wife volunteered in a battered women's shelter for a while. A friend worked in the D.A.'s office (not locally) specializing in domestic abuse. I've had lots and lots of friends in LE. Too many times the cops did their job, the prosecution was ready to go, but the victim gone and fell back in love with the boy and refused to cooperate. One of my most surreal moments was witnessing a deputy pleading with a stabbing victim, as she was being loaded into the ambulance, for her to identify her boyfriend as the perp. Finally, in frustration, he asked her why she refused to cooperate. Her answer, "Because he loves me!"

I won't say it's all the time, or even most of the time, but there sure are some times the victim is their own worst enemy.

He looks like a loving, caring father.

Lets play a game,

1) What the are the odds that a family member or neighbor is going to say "he was such a nice boy"

2) What the odds the DA will make a comment about why he had all those charges dropped in ONE YEAR!!!????

Oh man I actually clicked on that link...now my retinas are burned out!

Well..

on 1) family members probably won't be gushing over Mr. Dad here because he wasn't shot dead.

If he was murdered, then you'd see the crying relatives on TV telling us how he was such a good boy.

2) Miss Abraham's office will probably not comment on this because this is a "continuing case", or some other lame excuse as to why her office has failed to keep this idiot locked up.

C'est la vie.

I was on the El a couple days ago off to run an errand, and a loud-mouthed couple got on at 15th on their way near 52nd Street.

The best quote was the louder female. The male, wearing a State Property parka and Versace sunglasses mostly tried to keep quiet, but his partner who got on with him didn't care that everybody in the entire car could hear how:

o She had just got out two days ago

o She had two jobs before she was clicked, but she "on a new program" so she don't have to work

o Has to go see her 4 babies next week (they're at a relative's house)

o And how much she hates the city's jail system, and thinks the New Jersey state facilities are so much nicer because they don't put her in a cage with a bunch of other hussies who are so annoying, they put her "up in hotel" for 6 weeks and "leave her alone, let her do her thang"

I glanced around at the other El passengers and some of them were red-faced mad at this woman (an older black woman behind me muttered to her white friend "can you believe that bitch?").

One piece of information that did get my attention though was how bad this lady was trying to "clean herself up" because she was told by a judge if she f___'s up again she will be sent upstate.

I guess to a lot of people, the worst thing that can happen to you in the city's penal system is that you get transferred upstate far away from your homies--who won't come to visit you, send you credits to the commissary, make phone calls, etc.

Maybe this "upstate" business should be looked at some more.

Huh? Every time I stay in a hotel in jersey, I still get annoyed by a bunch of hussies, and no one leaves me alone to do my "thang" either.
