Well...
I don't know Mr. Snell or anything about him.
However, in the recent past I knew two Stateies (amongst many) who were of such low character that it shocked me that they were carrying badges. One was subsequently arrested for letting a criminal escape in a plan that called for him (the ex-officer) to murder the other officer guarding the criminal.
The other was thrown off the force for fabricating a story to bolster a discrimination suit against another police department.
Currently, I work with two individuals, one who has citizenship to a country that openly supports terrorism, and another who speaks so little english that he is not capable of communicating with the citizens he's supposed to protect and is so incompetent that he's asked to sit out of the way durring his assignments.
These two individuals carry guns and badges and are given the authority of arrest.
These four are in NO WAY typical of the VAST majority of LEOs that I've met. However, at times, the desire to fulfil the wishes of the racial bean counters and diversity dictators is so strong, that any actual competency and qualifications are overlooked for an individual who can "check the right box".
I wonder if that consideration over-rode a questionable background investigation and character assessment in Mr. Snell's case.
